I have seen a 120y coupe with a auto in it down here in tassie but it was some time ago now.
I used to have a auto sedan and yes they are a bit of a slugomatic.

I dont know the percentages but I think the auto was pretty common,didnt do much for performance though.

I haven't seen a 120y coupe with an auto, was that a common option? I'm guessing it wasn't

I have joined this site only to publicise the availability of two Datsuns I have recently been bequeathed.
I am a retiree, and have no interest in Datsuns, but obviously many have.

Datsun 120Y 2 dr auto coupe, in daily use by 85 yr old lady, my aunt, until late 2005.
Genuine and verifiable 72,000 miles, a totally stock standard car. Aqua blue, nil rust, nil prangs, nil sun damage to vinyl.
Seats and carpets and fascia very good condition.
Yes, it is the fabled 'little old lady's car'.
Not anywhere near concours condition, just a totally genuine example of the 120Y coupe model.

Datsun 1000 2 dr coupe, manual, about 100,000 miles, stock standard, no rust.
Also owned by above LOL., and in similar condition to the 120Y coupe.
