Yes its Errol.
Gordons car uses L14 rods. The rods are available in Japan but are getting rare every where.

Hi Errol? is it?
I think I have already asked you for a set your website is www.datrats.com.au isn't it?

I have heard Gordon Lovegrove's car is pretty quick and he's using a set of L14 rods sourced from you or at least that's my understanding.

I thought I'd ask around seeing as the last time I tried to source some rare L-series parts I found out later I could get it a bit cheaper.

I paid $870 for an LD28 crank through Stewart Wilkins but probably could have got one a fair bit cheaper from NZ

Not to worry, I know a few places in Japan offer the L14 spec rod and was considering getting a set from there but as i say just thought I'd weigh up some options.

I know they got the 140J in NZ and the UK and I've asked around there but as you can imagine L14 rods are somewhat rare and your asking price is/was by all means fair..

Anyway sorry to hijack the thread

I have a set of 6 that I am using for a L30 also.

They are available X Japan but very hard to get now. They cost!!!!! as are popular in Japan for 3.1's also.

A set of 6 L14 rods.

Hi guys I realise this is slightly off topic and sorry to be brief currently at work. I'm trying to locate a set of L14 rods for my stroker L31 I am wondering if anyone has any or knows where I can get them?

Cheers,

Gavin.

L14 good luck. I've only heard of a couple 510 guys who had L13's.

You should also start surfing some 510 boards and classifieds. You may find someone with one there?

Post a wanted ad in the classifieds here:

Ok anybody know of a place to get an L14 in the USA?

I'd start asking around at different local engine importers. That's going to be your only real option outside of importing one straight from Australia.

What tranny I need to go with? I assume the L16 4 speed from a 510.

If rules don't dictate a 4sdp, I'd say a late 70s truck 5spd. Good ratios, and not too big to fit in the tunnel. If you have to have a 4spd, yes any 510, 240Z, or early 70s truck will donate one.

None.

Nothing smaller than the L16 was ever officially imported into the US.
