Not very nice using the 'c' word here fellas, alot of different people use these forums, including the young lady that strated this thread.

By far the most common cause will be the sender. they are about $15 from Repco. they can be intermttant just unplugging them can make them check right again. "cunt"

The guage if it needs repairing is easy to do normaly just has been burnt out and needs a new wire wraped around the thingy not sure what its called but u will see it..

If the guage moves up then it works just is a really cool running engine....proably because of what converted said lol to him good call....the guage is so basic that its either broken or its not

Sounds like the same problem as my GF's 1200. it shows the temp occasionally then goes back as if the car is off. The water/engine is def heating up, just not registering on the guage!

hey who needs a temp gauge!!!! i managed for about 20,000 with out one just look for the radiator cap letting out pressure an then you know its hot
