250 - 500 is for both carbs, usually a twin redline manifold can go for between $100 - $200 depending on the seller. Either way their all the same product!
Do you mean the car splutters (i.e. has no power and has a dead spot) below 2000RPM? Does this engine have a different grind on the camshaft?

Twin 40's on a std A15 will work but not as well as one that has a bit of work done to it...

Hey thanks whitesedan. Yeah, the pic is not too good, but they are DHLA 40's. Ok so you say that they do not use too much fuel when tuned properly, so perhaps mine aren't. The guy i bought it from had in tuned on a dyno a few weeks ago, but i have noticed it splutters a bit at low revs (until about 2K).

I dont really have the money for buggering around with re-jetting and stuff. So i don't really know what to do! Perhaps i will put the factory carb on. So was that 250-500 each, or for both on the manifold(redline)..
