Will make an appointment with the mechanic guy who worked for the 1200 GX racing team in the late 70's and early 80's.
He also has a big diagnostic machine in the corner of his shop that can be plugged onto all the vacumes and stuff on the engine telling if something is wrong.

Will ask him to plug this machine onto the car and do a full diagnostics and also fine tune for me the carbs.
I am 98% sure he will know what to do.

OR, we also have a carb specialist here that did his aprenticeship on the 1200GX when he was still very young. He will also know the carbs very well.
Thanks for the advice so far.

The oil stops the pistons rising so fast.

Under constant load on a dyno they will lift all the way eventually regardless of the oil used.

If you can see black smoke, then it is plenty rich.

May have to look at different needles. That said, thae factory had it pretty spot on, Your adjusters on the bottom of the carb aren't wound out to far? The needles can be moved in the piston also. Check to see if these haven't been moved up.

A good tune up should have you smiling. Cheap power too.

The black smoke will be cutting down on your power. That's partially burned fuel. Unburned fuel = unrealized power.

Quote:
the factory power output
The factory power output back in those days (1971) was usually:
- engine out of car on an engine dyno
- no air cleaner
- little exhaust
- no accessories
etc. Don't expect to match that figure with today's more realistic ratings.

I just wanted to see how it compares to the factory power output.

I forgot to mention. At high revs.
My guess is about 5000rpm or 5500rpm it started to throw out black smoke at the exhaust.(I was looking from behind while the run was done to see what happens at the exhaust).
My guess is the carburators are having a too light oil in the dampers.
I use 3 in 1 oil.
It is a very light oil. Lighter than engine oil.
I wonder if this is not the problem?

That sounds good. The plate rating may be gross horsepower. The dyno reading is adusted for net power, most likely.

46.8Kw and 83Nm torque
is eqivalent to:
62.8hp and 61 lb. ft. torque

Compare to SUPERTUNE: Datsun 1200

Need some advice now.
I only got 46.8Kw and 83Nm torque.
The guy asked me do I want to know it on the flywheel or on the wheels and I said on the flywheel.

My engine plate says it must be 56Kw and 109Nm torque.
I am WAY off.
I have a freeflow exhaust and the Ignitor electronic ignition which I feel must give it more power. Just think if I did'nt have
these stuff done.
