Your right, I know several people using an SU for their apps with good success. Still going to give the mikuni a try first though.

Better yet to be different and better carb again which suit turbos perfectly are the su carbs. A single 2 inch (51mm really) one from a Jaguar 1967-76 model will rock.

Actually I have found jets and vents fairly easily and would like to try the mikuni as it is different.

I have ran Webers and Dells for years and know them inside out, last year this engine had a pair of 48 IDA's on it.

If it comes down to it I will switch to one of my DCOE's or a Holley progressive but I like a challenge so I will give this a go.

Try and sell your Mikuni to a Datsun guy, and go get yourself a Weber! Mikuni parts and jets are about impossible to get, but with the weber, they are still available, and most turbo'd VW's are running Webers and could help with base jetting and so forth!

Hi guys,

I am searching out information on the Mikuni phh carb and how it would work in a draw thru turbo application. Specifically jetting, fuel pressure and any mods that might be needed to be done to the carb to make it work (enlarging fuel bowl etc)

My car is a 1966 beetle which in N/A form and a 1914cc engine ran a best of 13.5 @ 98mph in the 1/4 mile. (to give you an idea of what it will go on)

More pics, vids and such on my website www.actop20.com

Thanks for any info!
