there is an AT and a MT starter gearing i believe.

so those are not interchangable but all mt's are. Ther is also a gear reduction starter option.

are you sure you dont just have a buggered battery? it may still read good voltage, but have no 'oomph' so to speak. Try starting it with jumper leads and see if it starts then.

I had to do this on my ute, it read 12.5volts, but wouldnt budge the starter. New battery fixed the problem.

sould not have a problem unless its an auto starter or your starter or flyheel are missing teeth... i have used b120, b110, b210 and b310 starters on a12 and a15 no problems....

Hey all,

My 1200 ute is fast becoming a pain in the a$$

The starter motor when cold refuses to engage (it's like the solenoid doesn't engage).

I have replaced the starter with another (a 1200 B310 model starter) and the same thing happens.

Could it be my flywheel (I think this is unlikely) or are there subtle differences in late model starters?

Im running an A15 with a 56A 4spd in an 84 ute.

All help is much appreciated!!!

TC
