i doubt the 720 5 speed will come out the same spot as the stumpy gearbox

720 one is the same length as all the other "long" L series gearboxes

R30 skyline or series 3 bluebird or trx or 720 ute. Only the series 3 bluebird will bolt straight up. the others need bellhousing swaps. all will need new gearbox crossmember. Slight massaging of tunnel may be required with any gearbox to suit ca motor. but above boxes shifter comes up in the right spot with slight trimming of shifter hole.

what kind of gearboxes are a fit the with ca18det without modifying the transmision tunnel?. this is going into a 1979 1200ute
