Ahh reminds me I was out finding a cheap car for my Dad last month so was looking at early 90's Camrys....anyway went to a few secondhand dealerships in Dandenong - unscrewed the oil cap on the first Camry I saw - all milky inside. Salesman comment "Yeah that's just condensation, car hasn't been started much lately" errrr OK I said "See ya!"

That condensation gets the blame for a lot of things in the 2nd-hand car world, blue exhaust smoke, water in oil - well that's all I can think of.

Next best one was a car that had a recently fitted radiator - the overflow tanks for coolant was melted on one side. I asked the owner - looks like the car get very hot recently what happend? Look of mock surprise..."No I've never had any troubles with it?" - That one was in Carrum Downs I guess I should have known better.

Hmmmm...this is really interesting,
they look exactly like my setup on my A15, the oval holes are the give away, and the coolant stains, course its been used,
if the bloke selling lies about that, what else is wrong with them????eh eh

The head is also missing the extra set of manifold mounting holes between the intake ports

I blew the picture up a little to try to get a better look. It's a bit grainy, but

A. It's been used at sometime as the coolant stains under the inlet ports attest.
B. My GX head has four largish sized holes under these ports, while A14/15 heads have smaller holes, & there are two under one pair of inlet ports & one under the other pair.
C. I seem to think that GX inlet ports are taller than these. They just don't look right.

The discolouration of the manifolds inlet ports clearly say they SOMEONE has used it at some time, so to say that they have NEVER been used is probably a bit of an overstatement.

It's probably still a good deal, but I don't think it's a GX head.

This is a 1200 GX head & I will leave you to make your own decisions. Note the four coolant holes under the inlet ports.
