I'm not familiar with that one. Are the marked? Usually there is a cast marks "L" or "N" or something.

What brand and model number is the alternator?

Hey guys,

I'm trying to wire up my A12 alternator. The motor came out of another 1200 and I found that the plug on my loom doesn't match the hole on the back of the alternater. My plug has 2 pins in a T shape configuration and the hole in the alternator has the 2 pins in a parallel configuration.

Has anybody encountered this when perhaps replacing an alternater?

I had a go at wiring it up by the wiring diagram. I have put the heavy white wire with red tracer on the pole "A" which has a little bolt on it.

I have earthed both of the black wires to pole "E".

then I have wired up pole F and N to the white with black and the yellow respectively.

Most importantly the alternator is not charging and I know it's in good nick because the motor and alternater just came out of a perferct running car.

Where do I start?
