What about those air bags that mount on top of the leaf springs? Wouldn't that work as well using the single leaf setup? Has anyone done this before?

You can change from leaf springs to a single leaf with a coil over setup, it would save you from some of the hassles of fabricating trailing arms and all that stuff and you could definatley have it adjustable depending on what shock you install.

I was looking into the front disc conversion for a while aswell, but then oneday i heard a noise whilst driving home coming from the front wheel, so when i arrived home i got out and got down on the ground, started having a look under the car when i noticed i already had disc brakes on the front, i have no idea what kind they are at all or anything. This doesn't really help you much, i just needed to share it with someone.

This might be a stupid question, but would any of those mentioned methods work for a 77 b210.
Methods as in: 2x0z swaps. Does the year matter or will most 70's era parts fit?

Also does any body know any thing about replacing the leafsprings in the rear with some sort of coilover set up. Would Z parts fit? any suggestions guys? Again i have a 77 B210. Thanks in advance guys.

i've seen several ways.
you can use:
stanza front struts and brake assembly - more or less bolt in

2x0z car front struts

2x0zx car front struts w/ coil over and stock or wilwood brakes.
( you don't need coilovers to use the wilwood brakes )

if you use bigger front brakes, the rear brakes are not really an issue.

the wilwoods are great and have the advantage of being light, 4 pots and made to stop much heavier cars and you have lots of pad choices.

You might not even need to fabricate anything. most of the messy work is already done now.

Good info B210!

Are there kits out there that are ready to bolt in for the front swap? I'd even be open to pay another member to build me one for the right price....

I'm just not good with hunting down all the right parts....

anyone open to the offer?

there are ways to get rear disks, it's about $500, but you'd be better to get a 200sx axle with the stronger diff and disk brakes.

there's a few kits, but i'd do the font brakes first, they are the ones that stop you.

I was browsing around other Datsun site and came across this link which offers a turn key package for swapping out "510" for rear disc conversion.

http://www.datsuns.com/510/brakes/510brackets.htm

I sent an email to these guys inquiring if they make something for us 1200 guys or they can make some for us...

I'll keep you guys posted when I hear back from them... Does anyone know of something like this for us a turnkey package for swapping out conversions rather than hunting down every single bolts and the parts..???
