Hey Guys.

My brother in the process of getting the Pajero (84mod) up the drive seems to have wound the gearbox (transfer case) up after changing back to netural. After getting to the top of the hill in Low range 4wd its seems in the process of changing back to 2wd he has let the car roll.

The car is jamed bettween 4wd high range and 2wd. Because on the shift it goes 4wd (low) netural 4wd (high) then left and down to 2wd.

Now i jacked the car up to let it un wind, bcause all four wheels were locked and wouldnt move. After jacking the front up, the front wheels un-wound, then jacking the rear up there was no unwind. With the car in the air all tyres would move, this unwinding released the car into netural because the rear will rotate without moving the front tyres.

Problem is after getting the car down the Gear lever is still stuck bettween 4wd (high) and 2wd.

Could it be that between changing the gears and letting it roll it has let the transfer case syncros slip or jammed the syncros or jamed two gears together ???

There was no crunching or grinding noise from what he told me, just jammed.

Any help on what you think happened or suggestions on how to fix it would be great.

Thanks guys. (oh and yes this all was done at 6am this morning )
