Im getting so much closer! Thermostat housing, hook up throttle cable and time dizzy!

Still waiting for my springs, i ordered them on friday so should get them this week!

Ive been around the block with the Su's and its great to drive, even though it was raining, so much more torque than the a-series, with 12in stockies and drum brakes, not too much traction.

Heres a pic of my new carbs.
L18B110 I didnt end up taking pics of the cams. I replaced L20 cam with the original cam, they both have U20 stamped on them anyway.

A87 is your casting number. The A87/219 head can have 2 different casting numbers.
1) A87 in the usual spot between spark plugs 1&2, and 219 on the front under the inspection plate, or
2) 219 cast between the plugs.

these are the genuine L18 SSS heads. they have standard 44mm Inlet and 35mm exhaust, and I think 38mm Inlet ports standard (might be 40 i can't remember now)

other A87 heads (without the 219) are normal L18 heads with smaller valves and ports in standard form.

anyway, yes a W53 can take bigger valves and be ported out as far as the A87.
