Mate that just crushed me! Bummer i was too late.

It sucks when you are keen and all set to go, they just seem to dry up. Any other time it would be raining ute shells!

I saw that one in Melbourne... but it's in Melbourne
I get what you mean when stating you get what you pay for. I am after a ute that i would keep for good so don't mind the wait and the looking (sometimes looking is half the fun). At least time is on my side, and there are mint shells out there somewhere... whether or not it's someones started project that has run out of steam, a forgotten ute under a tarp in a shed.

You get what you pay for..but it doesn't hurt to ask.

I think that any datsun less than $2000 is not a good candidate for a project that is to last long term..

Good Luck with your searchin'.

It's been a LONG time since i have been on here.
I am putting some feelers out to try and find a 1200 ute parked under some junk that someone needs to offload for the extra space!

I am looking for something very cheap. After a few years away from the utes, the bug has returned and i would love to start a new project. I am in the sydney area.

If anyone knows of a suitable shell that is worth doing- speak up, or drop me a pm.
thanks
simon
