I just received a second chance offer on that car. Either the buyer fell through, or I got a bogus e-mail from someone trying to scam some money. I went to the auction page and e-mailed the seller asking him if the offer was legit or not.
If Nomore spoke with the buyer, chances are the second offer I received was a scam.
Edit: The seller just e-mailed me back and confirmed it was a scam attempt. I get these quite a bit on items over $800 or so. jerks!

Talked to the new owner. He plans on converting it to electric. Forgot to ask where he's at. Told him about this site.
That was the second most rust free trunk I've every seen. I really wanted to buy it, but I can't keep up with even 2 of them.
Quirky seller. Seemed Amish

The winning bid was for $1,425, which seems about right.

Quote: nomore wrote: but the seller is looking for $10,000! Good luck with that.
Thanks for the heads up. They are going to be in for a surprise because there is no reserve on that auction.

I just drove it today. Aug 23. It was weak up the hills, shifted poorly and overheated within 2 minutes. It has previously been hit in the right front, right rear, left rear & the entire front end looks bent/shifted to the right. It does look ok overall for it's 100+K mileage(better in pics than in person), but the seller is looking for $10,000! Seems someone offered 10K in a parking lot conversation years ago, and that's what he sees it's worth. Good luck with that.

Does it have a white or tan glove box cover?
Even the plaid carpet on the side of the tunnel looks like it's in nice shape.
I'm gonna jump into the fray on that one when it gets near the end of the auction. I suspect it will bring a nice price.
