mate, stop dicking around.get a custom alloy radiator made with the thermo on the inside mounted on a custom shroud. then when you actually start to make some power it wont get hot again.

Understood. I wasn't sure if the new pump went in just before, or just after the fan blade incident since the fan blade was mentioned in a later post.

Looks like you probably have two blocked 1200 radiators.

Hey Freak looks like the radiator may have fixed it.
Just something to note on extremely rapid temp increases. I had a gripe exactly like yours, and replaced almost everything you did. I could start -up the car and with my radiator cap off could actually see the coolant flow when my thermstat opened up. And the thing still heated up almost instantly.Very frustrating.
It turned out to be a pin-pick hole in my retun heater hose. The dang thing emitted a silent and fine steam mist and evorporated immeadiately leaving absolutely no evidence of a leak-it also did'nt do it at idle, though the engine still immeadiately overheated. I only caught it by jumping out of the car quickly after a short test drive and popping the hood.

Its seems to be running normal again with the gemini radiator in. Just did some highway driving at it kept it on the thermostat. Fingers crossed tomorrow in the sun.

I had heaps of problems at one stage and it turned out to be the stone tray that i left out

but i still found that I would have heat issues some times

fixed it I just fitted a series two bluebird radiator
but a pulsar one would be smarter

I noticed in your first post a comment about machining the head. Was there any chance that the new head gasket had the incorrect water holes or that the holes for the water passages were not lining up properly? - this would explain the very rapid heating that you are referring to.
