The indicator backing that holds the globe should come away once the two screws are out and the two wires are disconnected in the engine bay.

I'm Painting the 120y (Shirley). She is comming along okay. However!!! How does a bloke disconnect the side indicator from the body??? I've taken out the two fixing screws and I'm left with this sort of cylinder fixed to the flat plate of the orange plastic indicator. Does the cylinder screw away from the flat area ?I've worked around it so far but i really need to get it out of the way before the colour coat goes on.
Cheers
