Yer you should only have ~13-14v charging. Maybe voltage regulator is gone

just wondering if anyone has ever encountered this themselves. as far as i understand my alternator is crankin way to hard and is boiling my battery dry real quick not to mention the damage the acid has done to my car. my thought is that the voltage reg has clapped out because its about 18 volts.
