I have several "L" series manifolds within reach , so I am going to work on making dual downdraft carburetor manifolds for a Datto. If it works, we can apply the knowledge and experience to our A engines.
I am not an expert in welding ( I welded stuff at my body work ( I think you guys down under call it "beaters") school...but nothing like manifold aluminum....so any info will be appreciated. A dual downdraft is a performance set up, several BMWs and other european vehicles have this Weber kit.

I wish someone could make dual downdraft manifolds. A dual DGAS for a modified motor would be awesome. Even a twin DGEV.

Yes, a twin DCOE is the dream, but for those LHD Dattos and for those Datsun guys that do not have the technique nor the expertise to get involved in relocation of the master cylinder.....or simply for the better breathing ( some DCOE's are so close to the strut towers that I always wonder how good ..or how bad could it get ) two upright DGAS or DGEV's would have plenty of space and non master cylinder issues.

I will look into it...working on Dattos projects is cool.

Have you checked your valves??? Jerky iddle could be due to valves that are not properly adjusted.

What about the distributor and ignition system......

BTW, any pixes of the DGAS Dattos???

I am pretty happy with the idle / slow speed circuit and I am almost ready to start fiddling with the main fuel circuit to see if I can get more out of it, but a broken engine mount has delayed my testing time this week
will get stuck into it and let you know each detail of the tests soon hopefully
