ok from the stanza you can use -engine -sss 5 speed -clutch assembly(needs to be modded obviously) -engine mounts from crossmember, cut off and rewelded -front suspention and brakes -transmission tunnel if you get a manual 1200(it can fit but bigger tunnel makes it alot easyer to get around and looks neater if done right) -diff centres if you get a 1200 ute diff
probably more stuff, but ive never owned a stanza so i cant add more to that list ive got plenty of pics of my L series convertion in my album

Welcome usherly, use the search function and you will find quite a bit of info, particularly from Whitesedan. I have an L20 in my coupe and it all fits. No "bolt in" or "5 minute job" but worth the effort Keep as much as you can from the stanza - you will use a lot!! Cheers

i like the 1200's specially the coupes so i'll be sticking to 1200/120y plus there relatively cheap so...
yeah sorry it is a stanza SSS dogleg, plus there is also a 240k 5 speed as well so engine, 2 gearboxes, 2 diffs and suspension thats if i can convince my friend that he doesnt need it and i do if i can get a car, project might start march/feb next year (after ive worked over summer holidays)

you can fit a l series box into a Auto 1200 body shell the engine mounts can be drilled off the stanza cross member at the spot welds then miged back on to the 1200 crossmember then the next problem you will have is getting the bonnet closed after that you will need to source a tail shaft and the list goes on but it has been done before LOL

you'd be better off finding a b310 sunny, then you can use all the stanza crossmembers/diff etc.
Also I dont think 240Ks had dogleg pattern gearboxes, probably just a stanza SSS box

hi guys first post and i slam it straight in :) i can get my hands on wrecked stanza rally car with a fresh rebuilt L20B, 240K 5 speed dogleg, customized stanza suspension and two diffs (if i so need) anyway - i want to put this configuration into either a 1200 or a 120y in the near future ive done some reading on here and it seems i need the following bits 180B crossmember, 180B/200B master cylinder (unless i dont need it) is this correct? what about the gearbox - will it actually fit in the tranny tunnel, or wil it need 'massaging' and diff wise, i think it is a 240k LSD diff, plus a 1200ute open wheeler i think will this mean a custom tailshaft at all, or will the one from the stanza fit in?
any help will be appreciated
