I think that if its a viscous lsd.They do wear out overtime and when worn out they just act as an open diff centre,so just spinning the wheels may not tell u.

thanks... the diff is already out of the vehicle i think??? the guy says it is out of an executive ti and he reckons it is lsd. if you spin the axle they should both turn the same way if it is lsd correct??? as opposed to opposites with the open wheeler

there may or may not be a tag on the filler plug saying this is an LSD, use LSD oil...

or jack it up and spin the wheels?

just wondering if there is anything external on the complete diff assembly that will tell you if the centre is lsd on the r31 body shape.
