lol this thread is just the same as when im at work ahaha people winging about proton build quality, we have had one customer whose warranty claims have exceeded the initial purchase price of the car lol, were doing clutches at 12,000 k's headgaskets at as little as 2300k's lol

i thought these were FWD so how does the 4WD running gear bolt up? is there a driveshaft tunnel already or would you have to make it all yourself?

yeah ... maybe ??!! that was one thing the owner of the one i posted did mention was that the GSR stuff was a staight bolt on to the proton motor

wellllll ..... dredging up the past i just had to add this ....

this proton ute would have to be the coolest i have seen, and mentioned in a way earlier post .
it's got the full GTi engine and driveline, front suspension and brakes, inside there's the complete GTi interior - dash, guage cluster, wheel, centre consol, seats and carpet. the only thing not GTi is the door trims as they are different length doors. outside GTi front bumper.

Proton's Lotus Elise has similar problems, but owners love it anyways. It performs very well, so the build problems are excusable.

My 0.02c worth....I organised a test drive of the top of the range model, looked nice, and on paper it had good specs....

Well, test driving it, I found it to be gutless, handled like cr@p and not to mention the build quality (or there lack off).It was way too hard in the back for a "half-ton" ute. I loved the ex-factory rattles, and pressed "cardboard" pillar trim pieces, c'mon Proton, lift your game......
The only good thing is that there is nothing else on the market in this segment.

oh ok. this model is limited. since not so much malaysians like to having pickup. :D

this model called Proton Arena in malaysia.
its same car as Proton Wira (similar to evo1-2). but its pickup version :D
