BAHAHAHA i cracked up when i read that!!
they do sound like bloody Hondas in that first clip i must admit.

the 2nd KPGC10 video has a better note to it.

S20, good luck finding one! And they looked factory! Thats right, factory sidedrought Solex's and wanky headers!

ha ha ha ,if you watch that video closely, on turn nine you can actually see him run over a white door which gets stuck on the boot lid.so i was right after-all!!!
do you have any other recordings of the engine,
i was trying to listen but all i could hear was somebody in the background using a chainsaw!
that race track must be near a forest or timber yard.

Simply what a machine...........

'70's Skyline GT-R (KPGC10) Racing car

You just gotta love Jap engineering.........

I dont think I have ever a heard any other production based inline 6 sound as good as that.. N/A flat out; nothing beats that note.

dat383, its called difference of oppinion. Ive got mine you've got yours...

These cars are the CLASSIC jap look, and f*ck me are they sexy. The guard mirrors suit these cars, 1200's, 1600s etc etc awsome i reckon. Just coz thats old skool jap style doesnt mean its functional and still wins style awards in my books.

Look up hakasoka (or however you spell it) gtr google and watch the video. Just listen to they exhaust note

yeah,i am a bit mental.but seriously though it looks like he ran over a door and half got stuck under the front and the other half flipped up and landed on the boot.lucky it was a white door.
and that car must have been built on a friday afternoon because some silly bastard couldn't find the "a" pillar so he just screwed the side mirrors onto the front guards.they are called side mirrors because they get mounted on the side of the car.
otherwise they would be called front guard mirrors.
do you have to get out your binoculars to see whats happening in the mirror or do you just squint?
and finally if someone is stupid enough to spend 90k on what may well be the ugliest car i have ever seen, then yes,i am mental enough to destroy it.

I have to disagree with most of whats been said here, not wanting to start any fights but Im a wrecker or (Auto dismantler) as we are in a new millenium now.
The picture you see in my avatar is a result of me saving precious Datsuns from the shreader.

people call up work and say they have a Datsun for wrecking and much to my bosses dismay I go large distances to see such dattos just to make sure that hes not destroying something beutiful..... We are not all tarred with the same brush ( although some need to be beaten sensless with that brush) and there are some of us that do appreciate a good japanese classic!!

Thats my two cents worth. Cheers. Adam.

I have to concur with that sentiment.
