anyway, ive got one that will fit your ute.
might cost a bit to get it to qld.

i got one extended (my toyota gearbox 1) and it cost 300 to extend it plus freight to melboure (400km away)

all up cost me 400
and that was just to extend it...
did a damn good job tho

I dont get the whole non-replaceable thing, my 1200 service manual has it all in detail how to service the tailshaft, ive also seen new 1200 unis on ebay for sale.

i got mine made in Tamworth, place called Retorque. cost a pretty penny, but i needed it done by the next day so i could continue to brisbane with my new toyota box. he had to get bits from 3 interstate cities overnight. thicker tube with holden 6 unis.
if the unis on the standard tailshaft look like they have been pressed in with a stubby lid, they are non-replaceable

yep stock unis are crap, often places bore out the fittings and put larger replaceable ones in

had shafts made for around 200 from scratch, definately worth it

wierd, i could sware my ute one had replacable unis....same as some L series unis infact

could get a bluebird or jap diff'd stanza tailshaft and have an A series end put on it....pretty much be a ute tailshaft then

or shorten a 120y one as that would also do the job, just have smaller unis

josh i'm sorry to say but it's alot easier to just get a new one made up i looked for ever for a new one and as pepper said they are a throw away item (yeah i had trouble beliving it to) it should only cost you about $250 for a new one. the one i got made up has holden 6 unis in it witch you can replace if you ever need to

but perhaps you would like to know(if you didnt already) that most(if not all) have non replaceable unis in em, maybe it might be worth your while to get a fresh one made with some commodore unis or something in em.
then you have a nice new shaft with decent size(not saying 1200 unis are too small) unis in it.
does gatton have a tailshaft shop??
