The question is, ... were Datsun 1200 two door models ever made as a GX?

The answer, ... NO. [But they should have been]
Only the Coupe & four door Sedan were ever offered in GX trim.

guards and bonnet are the same.

The main part of the doors are the same as coupe, but the top window section of the door is different. this part is not the same because the 2 door sedan has a higher roof line.

LHD->hydraulic clutch
RHD->cable operated clutch

Japan also got "Semi-DX" between std and Deluxe models.

right, ddgonzal can confirm this, but the 2dr b110 was only sold as std, dx & gl in japan

america only got the dx

there's supposed to be dx medallions on the c pillars

usa cars were assembled in japan, so there are some differences like hydraulic clutch

GX model 1200's were not available in the States. all US 1200s came with Hydraulic clutches

so what were the american 2 door sedans that came out with hydraulic clutches ect. were they just std models?

also are the guards, bonnets and doors different. can they be taken of anything in australia. i saw a week or so ago that someone had the same sorta question
