ok, point taken guys.......my appologies i'll draft a full spec sheet and photo layout ready for sale sometime this year. main purpose for my regular prompts over 5 days was actually to "bump" this thread to the main active posts page.(recent posts read 1st) I seem to have got the hornets nest a buzz though, got the opinions flowing somewhat. I am interstate working so only have very limited access to photo's @ the moment. Once again sorry to those that got emotional

Racecar? there's no cage that I can see.
one of his pics says it runs on street tyres except for that last pic above which he said were borrowed wheels and race tyres. so i guess the suspension isn't that highly developed, but that's only a guess without any info from the owner.
looks like stanza/200B front brakes.
the Fiat engine swap makes it illegal for IPRA (as does the bonnet scoop and giant front spoiler, and the flares are questionable), so it basically a sport sedan if you want to race it, unless you find events with road registered classes - if its still road registered?
is the engine swap engineered/mod plated?
It doesn't look like the front spoiler unbolts easily, but its a bit hard to say from the quality of the pics, so its going to be a very difficult thing to load on and off a trailer
it also appears to have a sunroof, which if you want to turn it into a race car is going to be a problem.
also looks like the bonnet pins are not installed in the same place either side of the bonnet, but that may be an optical illusion fromt he quality of the pic? and there's an ordinary panel gap on the gaurd to driver's door. what's the rest of the body like?
what's it worth? pretty hard to say without more info. but unfortunately its not worth much as a race car to me. And it would be an awkward road car for everyday use. Not quite sure where you'll find a buyer for it.
To me, looking to buy a car to turn into a race car, its only value is the fairly clean body as a starting point, but the sunroof even ruins its value for that. I wouldn't buy it for a rae car project just because of the sunroof = turret replacement.
but that aside, if I was to build it as a racecar, the engine would be turfed, spoiler, gaurds and bonnet would be turfed for IPRA legal items, and the roof replaced. then you're painting more than half the car, so you may as well change the kermit colour while you're at it. It needs a cage, engine, box, suspension and brakes...
So I guess you need to find someone who would want it as a road car. how much its worth to them depends on wether its engineered with the engine swap, and if that front spoiler comes off easily - I wouldn't want to drive it on the road with that big chunk of cop-bait hanging off the front and no bumper.

Looks great with the deep dish wheels the other ones do nothing for me, it has plates in some shots how long out of rego is it?? If it is a good sorted car that goes as well as it should with those mods it will be worth up to $6500. I would be trying to get $6500, if you havnt found a buyer after 6 months and you are just desperate to unload it dont go below $3500. Hope this helps.

Quote: ok so 550 lookers but 11 replies........great help members......thanks very very little much. wtf????? I would very very offer you $1500 - $2000 for the body - am not interested in the engine. Depends on the type of cage and front suspension though. That fact that you don't even list half the details of the car then expect people to give you an accurate estimate of the car, then get all arrogant about it is more than a little insulting. Get over yourself dude we are not all here at your beck and call. Pics of the engine, interior and front end would help with pricing, but if you can't be bothered even putting up a full set of pics why should anyone be bothered taking your offer seriously? Think about it.

Looking at the pictures (no engine bay pics) I would say its worth $3500 ONO. but thats only my opinion.
Cheers. Adam.

Hey Datfiat you sound a little aggravated with the whole situation. I guess you didn't help yourself when you said you would dump it for scrap metal! Your car is not easy to price but I'll help you out.
If the rolling body is race sorted and caged then it is worth $2k. By race sorted I mean a decent welded cage and good brakes/suspension - dunno how you are situated there.
Your Fiat drivetrain is worth around $800 to a Fiat owner but they are getting hard to find. I think it's a little boring with a single 45 as my standard BC 124 1608cc came with twin 40's from the factory.
The car is not suitable/competitive for the best tier of racing in Aussie - IPRA. And it doesn't appear to be road registered...
Hope this helps.
