Yeah the formula fords come with 5.5" on the front and 7" on the back. I just went a bought a set of 4 7" tyres for $120. THe bloke threw in a 5th for free because he said the tyre shops often wreck one when putting them on the rims because they have soft beads. Luckily I got all 4 on with no troubles so I guess every 4 sets I get a free set!

They take a bit of rolling to get them in the back but fit in the front well with the right offset rim

Formula ford tyres are not really suited for the street. They have a tread but are often buffed right down.

Yoko 048's are a great choice..cause you can use them for the street too. They are excellent race tyres. Trouble is there is only one dealer in each state that sells them and whatever price they give you you wont find better or worse. If you say you are in the IPRA club you may get a discount.
