The earliest Datsun 200B's in Australia used IRS in Sedans & SSS, & a H165 axle under the Wagon

This lasted for about a year or less untill local assembly kicked in when both Sedans & Wagons used a Borg Warner rear axle assembly. The suspensions differed, but the basic axle was the same & these lasted untill the end of 200B production.

Early Stanza's [A10] used the H165 axle, but this too was eventually changed for the Warner rear to accomodate local content laws.

That could be the it. I just weld everything up , spider gears to spider gears and spider gears to the carrier. I think the axles have some end play but I need to check.
Thanks

Strange question, but how did you welded the centre? Did you just weld the spider gears together? Or did you fill up the hole with weld, or make blocks to drop into the gears & weld it all in? I ask because years ago, i broke an axle with a welded diff because the end of the axle hit the blocks in the spider gears when i was tapping it in & at the first standing start it shattered both axles. Just wondering if something similar is happening to you, as a 180b diff is a h165 with the same axle sizes as a ute diff, & i've never even come close to blowing up any of the welded diffs i've had.

H190's have a few diff size axles some have the 26 spline 25mm?? 510 or 1600 wagons ect same axles size as h165s. The bigger ones from 620- 720 utes and early navaras and comercial vehicles have the 29spline 30mm axles series 3 bluebird also have the bigger axles.
Lockers are fine in track cars I have had one in mine for years without problem. Not very good in the wet or street use though.
