These shocks have a 12 inch collapsed length. The shocks on my coupe seem to be about 15 inches in length at normal ride height. I guess I could extend the lower shock mounts if I have to, as reccommended in the factory racing manual.

According to the guy selling the ca18det sedan on LA craigslist, the rear shocks from a 82-92 chevy camaro will fit on the rear of a 1200. He said he is using 1982-2001 Camaro 8-way adjustable KYB AGX rear shocks which sell for $190 a pair. He highly recommends them but wouldn't give me any details on how they work. He said ae86 corolla owners also use them and the lower mount is a little difficult to fit on the 1200.

If these fit a sedan, will they fit a coupe?

KYB lists the same part number for 1982 to 2001 camaro rear AGX shocks. For some reason koni and bilstein have different camaro rear shock part numbers after 1992, and the 92-up shocks seem cheaper. I guess someone could buy Koni or bilsteins and have them revalved to suit the 1200.

Any other shocks from common American cars that will fit a 1200?
