That looks like a N12 pulsar dizzy to me!

Maybe you have a shot ign barrel? Try byepassing it. Maybe the wrong coil is on it?

Hi all.
Last night i broke down on the freeway. Suddenly just lost revs.

Anyway, it's not making a spark (tested it using the lead to the distributer cap). I tested the leads. I made sure the coil was getting power whilst cranking and ign.

The coil seems to be working because i can make it spark when i disconnect the dizzy leads from it and make a jumper from the negative terminal to earth (tapping it on and off earth).

This makes me think it is the dizzy. I don't know what the dizzy is from can someone help me out? Also does anyone know how to test an electronic dizzy?

Sorry but the photos are very average taken on my mates phone.

I did write down the number but forgot the piece of paper back where the datto is resting. I'll post it as soon as someone gets home there.

Its something like DR4R0-06 with other numbers and the nissan symbol.

Finally just to confuse the issue several other things i noticed.
* the coil gets only about 9 volts through ignition though i cant see a ballast resistor anywhere?
*the ignition wire is +ve but once i've turned the key to start it goes to earth (with or without dizzy wires connected) weird!
