stanza balljoints have a bigger taper to go into the steering arm

sorry i only just realised what i said. i am getting confused with all these parts and what model they are off. i need to sort all this stuff out. are the stanza ball joints the same as 1200 ones just a bigger thread that bolts to the steering knuckle??? i only just got these steering knuckles today and they look as though everything will bolt together.

i was actually thinking of taking a picture of all my sunny stuff when i had it and label it all so people know what to have

how the hell did the stanza steering arm bolt up to the 1200 balljoint without it slopping around every where.... the balljoint is like half the size of the hole

and if youve got stanza steering arms fitted....why are you having problems fitting 180b struts, they will bolt straight up

just to make stuff clear, the steering arm is what bolts onto the bottom of the strut, and the balljoint and tierod end attatches to it also....as the 180b strut wont bolt to these they cant be used
Just wondering if there is a diagram available for these components?
I'm sure I'm getting the correct names of these bits mixed up !

i know where the steering arm bolts on. i replaced the steering arm with a stanza one. used 1200 ball joints, 1200 control arm, 1200 castor rods and original 1200 tie rods. all bolted together beautifully. the only mod i needed was the stanza steerin knuckle changed.

you cannot use the original 1200 stuff to fit the bigger struts

get rid of the original
control arms
castor arms
steering arms
and outer tierods

then replace all them with either stanza sunny or 180b stuff, but there is more modifying to do if you use the 180b stuff...nothing realy hard though

just to make stuff clear, the steering arm is what bolts onto the bottom of the strut, and the balljoint and tierod end attatches to it also....as the 180b strut wont bolt to these they cant be used

yeah i was trying tot swap the 1200 ball joint onto the 180b steering arm but the bolt hole size is different. the tie rod end seemed to fit into the 180b knuckle arm but it wont bolt to the control arm. could i get away with changing to 180b control arm or modifying 1200 one? if i leave the stock steering arms will my steeing travel be restricted?
