I haven't been pulled over for BS in a while.
It use to happen all the time.
I also avoid the "classic" cop roads and neiborhoods and keep lane changes to a minimum. You can see a car weaving in and out a mile away.
If anything I get more attention from little bastards with their hopped-up Hondas, Mustangs and whatever else. They're always trying to instigate a race on the freeway. It's like "no sh1t your car is faster than my 35yr old beater. Get away from me"

around here, most cops don't even know what a datsun is, and they're a rare sight on any day, so i never get hassled, let alone noticed

I got pulled over for driving like an idiot around Bondi in my KB10,I told the copper I was from Dubbo and he said that it might be OK to drive like that in Dubbo but I was in the big smoke now so I should take it easy.

Ive only ever been pulled over for doing something wrong. Once i was speeding, fair enough but they didnt even check over the vehicle! The copper just said he was amazed it was still on the road (1000 wags).
And the other time i had a full inspection over the car for driving like a tool some WA members will remember that! No fine/defect tho!

Oh and i got pulled over in my old Sunny the day I got it. When i said i paid $500 for it the copper said fair enough and let me go... it was a real ####ter! But with shiney wheels!

They are targets! Everytime I've taken mine out for a drive I get pulled. For no reason at all!! Then they see it's a chick driving and let me go! Apparently they're a "boy racer car".

The problem I have driving a Datsun is that theres only like 2 other 120Ys on the coast so if I do something not entirely legal people are going to remember the car.
But then again thats the price you pay for not driving a skyline like everyone else...

Go the tarago!! I have seen the American Bad-Cops police chases on TV and there are some crazy drivers over there. Ha ha you blokes had better be careful there getting lots of practice.
The last time i got done was on the freeway, a highway patrol following me off the exit ramp. Booking me for To low and a chrome air filter.
I think the main reason other than bad driving is an old car is going to have more wear and tear than a new car. so it easier to find faults, but a restored Datto is different. pull over for the show and shine.
