yeah i was thinking of that, its a good idea, the aftermarket pressure senders are a bit bulky.
it will work just fine... I have a couple spare stainless brake hoses... those will work for that with the right adaptors?

The best way to get around this is a length of braided hose from the oil pump out to the t piece which you mount on the inner guard, then put the standard light & the oil pressure senders into it. No harmonics causing stress cracks, etc. I've done it to both the sunnys (210s) i have & haven't had any problems (so far). With the right hand drive cars, i just cable tie it to the proportioning valve, with the lefties you'd probably have to make up a bracket, or four little holes in the inner guard for the cable ties to pass through.

Well upon getting a #3 extraction tool cost $4.00 the busted stub was removed fairly easily, and all is well again... i don't have a oil pressure idiot light for now, but i think i'll add it back in elsewhere, like on the return side, so you have a special warning if you blow an oil cooler line or something that a warning light and gauge at the pump may not see.

Once again I learn the hard way, so you don't have to ;)

I've learnt not to do things on the cheap if you can afford it

my first 120Y I set up with a pin to hold the bonnet (hood closed with an 'R pin".... Bad idea as the pin comes out (or is left out) the bonnet can fly up...

"The Iron Maiden" now has the original bonnet back on it - with the original bonnet catch turned around 180 degrees so I can open it from the front...as the bonnet relase has lost it's handle...

yeah that's exactly right

Some people wonder why do they make those expensive billet adaptors to use the oil pressure switch and a pressure sender... Sure the brass ones from the plumbing dept at the hardware store work... sometimes for years, but then they develop stress cracks and fall off if you really drive hard.

So I'm down for the night, luckily i was parked somewhere safe when i noticed something was odd...
