205/60 look like balloon tires on smaller cars

185 is big enough on the front... if you need 165 i think they are fine, im running 165 55 13 on front and they are fine (55 profile is stif as though)

Best option would be to run thinner tyres on the front and fat 205's on the back all with the same profile. Also consider spacers for slight rubbing on those Jelly beans.

The SSS struts would be fine and a nice brake upgrade. i would only worry about the strut travel if you want your datto to sit on the ground. heaps of datto's have Stanza struts and have used them for many years.
Plus the fact that you already have them and can save some money and upgrade at the same time.
you have some nice parts there, so if worse case senario sell all your rims and spare struts $$$ and go with some 14inch rims or even better 15inch rims. Now that you have disc brake front no prob's.

goodluck with your datto mod.

how wide are the rims? yu can get (a bit hard to find) 175 50 r13 also 165 55 r13 can also get 175 60 r13 (hard now too but 185 60 is available easily).

you could swap to stanza struts for 25 mm more each side track but that causes issues with sticking out of guards usually.

want to go wider tyres on ute , have changed the original struts to discs off a 1200 /120y, have got 81sss stanza mags on with 165 70 13 tyres , tried 205 60 13 all well on the back but no good on front ,the 165 70 13 just clear the struts now ,is there a special offset you can get for the front , ive tried a set of 13 inch jelly beans but they hit the disc callipers , also tried some cheviots plenty of clearance but not quite the right stud pattern ,have got the sss struts that the jellybeans suit but have read in the forums they havent got much suspension travel

any ideas
cheers
