Ah my old car is dead
I bought that car as a roller from Alan Pitt in the mid 90's when it was red, white and blue. Alan use to run a small A series in the beast but I decided it needed the A15.
I stripped the car and painted it yellow, put the JTS built A15 and 5 speed in it.
I debut the car at Wakefield in 1990 something and finished 3rd at the Under 2 litre Sports Sedan Nationals.
I think it was 96 when I was running at Amaroo and the bloody brakes failed and I went head on into stop go corner.
Not a great deal of damage but enough for me to re paint the front..and yes I painted it red.
Best experience with this car was running at the very last Amaroo meeting held before it shut in 1997 and I won the Open Sports Sedan race at the end of the day against some serious CHEV powered beasts.
I sold the car complete to Martin Rogers for $8,500 and he used it as a talking piece for when his mates came over for a beer haha. He never drove the thing!
From there I think he sold the car to stevo1000 and then I lost track of it.
If you can get that much for the engine, box and other bit's Joe SELL THEM!!!
The gearbox was a close ratio box that we made up out of a standard dogleg 5 speed. I cannot remember exactly the ratios we used but it was an awesome box. As the option boxes were not strong enough for the A15 considering the load from the slicks etc we decided to build this box considering the power we were producing. I know the box was still in the car when Martin sold it so I am assuming that it is still in it
PS Who is charging you that much to build your engines??
