I have done it with a 3.5hp and current motor is a 7hp honda gen. set engine. Using a Charade turbo with the waste gate welded up, at full rpm it pulls 5psi.
Im using a dirt bike carby, that i have re-jetted and given the ports a clean up. It also has NOS.

Now that's the kind of thinking I like! I'm not sure you'll ever find a turbo small enough for that engine but air-cooled motors like that are supremely easy to supercharge. Just cut a hole in the shroud where it routes the air from the flywheel-fan thingy and hook a hose from there to the carby. It won't do much for the longevity of the engine but hey, they are almost as cheap as dirt so blow up several and have a good time. In high school I had a Tecumseh 5 horse that I modified in this way. I never got around to using it on a kart or mini-bike because I stripped out a head bolt with an inaccurate torque wrench.
