Am thinking of up-grading front suspension, which is the best way to go?
For an overview, see wiki - Suspension upgrades

Don't want to go excessive in unsprung weight but want better stopping power as well. Have a hot a14 and H165 rear. Was thinking of coilovers plus maybe sunny brakes setup modded to it.
Move to an H150 rear for *much* lighter weight and can withstand the force of a modified A14. The B210/B310 have the same rear brakes as B110, so no gain there.

whats the best shocks to use?
My opinion is the original specification rear shocks are best -- they control the rear much better than gas shocks. However I haven't tried any of the adjustable shock absorbers, so maybe adjustable Konis might be best?

Cheers Boofhead. Just out of curiosity is the sunny/120Y same setup for clearance of wheels as opposed to standard 1200?

cut and shortened 120y struts with coil over setup on it, jeff taylor (??) silvia brake setup for the front ... probably the lightest option ....
or stanza/200b/240k struts cut to length and coil overed with 253mm slotted rotors and sumitomo twin spot calipers ... probably one of the cheaper options ...

rear leaves - supposedly the man for them is john taylor (??) used to be in penrith, sydney pedders, has a magical leaf combination for circuit/street ... maybe one for rally aswell ??

or the search button over there on the left will give you plenty other options and even more info on the setups i mentioned above

Hey all DattoMANIA people. Need some advice. Am thinking of up-grading front suspension, which is the best way to go? Don't want to go excessive in unsprung weight but want better stopping power as well. Have a hot a14 and H165 rear. Was thinking of coilovers plus maybe sunny brakes setup modded to it. While im on the subject what's the best rear setup leaf spring wise and whats the best shocks to use? Anyone attempted 3 or 4 way link setup, is that a lighter setup than standard? Any help is appreciated. Cheers!
