Thats what I tried to tell you, dont let it go under 4000rpm and you'll be fine.

Give us more details on the engine.
What cam specs.
What size chokes and jets in the carbs.

Hi Mate and welcome to the club.

I think you will find that it is the tune/ chokes in the webbers that is causing it not to rev. You could tune it differently to have more torque lower down but less up high, but if you learn to drive it in its sweet spot I think you will find its faster.

In terms of the a15, thats okay, but in rally the class cut off that most 1200's run in is the under 1400 class. You will find you would be competing against 1600's, etc etc.

hay guys i just bought a datsun 1200 coupe rally car its got twin webbers extractors mild cam and not shore wot else its got its got a problem when you go to take of its very guttsy and wont rev but ones it gets to about 4 to 5 grand it takes of like a rocket is there any way of getting a bit more bottom end power or is that wot the a12s are like
would puting a 5 speed gear box help or would it be better iv i just get a bigger moer like an a15 or something or a bigger cam please help cheers jayden
