I have removed the heater in my SR20 Sunny, and to still have the windscreen demister, there will be a 12v hair dryer up under the dash plumbed up to the dash/windscreen vents.
I tryed all options including, having the SR a/c and heater box, but it was far too big to have under the dash and also the a/c compressor hit the radius rod mount. Also keeping the sunny heater box but found it was too much of a pain in the arse to conect it to the SR hoses.

Sorry I went a tad off topic there

Trial and error with a bit of retic pipe and fittings for a template and then went looking for heater hoses that fit.

By law you have to have a heater bof for the front windscreen demister.

I know some people have put new holes into the firewall, and have done whatever is required on the cabin side of the firewall.

This allows you to mount your engine closer to the firewall and gives you more room to adapt to your heater.

I joined them into each other. It's an awkward bend but just fish through the hose bin at your auto parts store and there will be something that fits. I found one.
