I had my flywheel & pressure plate balanced when I had my flywheel lightened....but even then it still only fits one way.

I'd even be tempted to mark a new one - but with this new clutch aligning tool I've got you can clamp the pressure plate and clutch together in a single assembly - makes it a bit easier....

Don't forget to mention getting gearbox grease all over yourself.

Regarding marking the flywheel components, you might do that if you putting the used pressure plate back on. With a new plate, no worries. A-series flywheel is not externally balanced so no need to mark it. My Nissan factory manuals do not say to mark it.

They are the metal discs on the engine block that you can see through the gearbox dust cover....nothing to do with the flywheel - just Whitesedan causing trouble...hehe

Yeah they do, it's just a lot easier to reinstall if you know where it goes rather than sliding it round and round until it fits, particularly when you are trying to hold the clutch in the centre at the same time!

With regards to marking the flywheel, correct me if i am wrong but dont the "a" series have a funny bolt pattern that only allows it to go in one position??

Still got to finish this CA....

I always have chucked a new one of those in when having the flywheel off, they tend to leak there because they are overlooked and can cause a great deal of frustration.

Yeah my dogs a nutter! That was last friday night drinks which was a tad out of control, he's proudly sporting a woodies 6 pack holder and his rope chew.
