These days A series 5 speed box's are hard to get and over priced because of it. if you were going to pay a few dollars for a box, you cant go past a Dellows conversion kit with a Toyota 5 speed. still avaliable from wreckers and if not dellow themselves sell them reco too. There tuff, light and i think heaps better than a 120Y 5speed for your money.

what 120y came out with a 5sp ?? some sunny's did (cant remamber which ones ??) and alot of the boxes are imports ....
there's no such thing as a cheap and easy to find A series box ... if there was everyone would be running them ...


................... they're speeeeeecial and when you get one you hold onto to it !!! unless of course you find a better one ... or need 2

na i just wont a five speed 120y gearbox

i got one but its along way from being for sale for a good condition one, say 60series you can pay $1000 up if you can get your hands on a 56 series option box - option 1 or 2, thats in good condition you could be paying more than that ... i sold a rebuilt option 1 about 12 years ago for $800 ....
