Mate if the bottom pipe has come off it,s a simple fix don,t stress, shouldn,t cost any more than $20 at the nearest radiator shop {it,s a 5 min solder up fix!} But as other guy,s have said get em to clean it while it,s out.

Actually, removing the engine for a clutch change could well be a simpler way to do it if one can't get enough room to work under the car.
1000 & 1200 engines are quite easy to remove & working over the front of the car is a lot less drama that working under it.

I suggest that you take the radiator to a radiator specialist to get a verdict on it. He may just be able to repair it, unless you have ripped the bottom tank to shreds.
If it is fixable, then you might as well get him to pop the top tank off & rod, or replace the core [as necessary] to make sure it's nice & clean when it goes back in.

would a exhurst manifold off a 1200 fit on to my 1000 engine
If any would, the 1971-1973 1200 would. Newer engines used a 3-bolt exhaust manifold, while older ones used a 2-bolt exhaust manifold. I mean where the exhaust pipe bolts to the manifold.

You dont need to pull a engine out to do a clucth??? Just the box'll do!

I used a Hyundai Excel X3 rad in my 1000. You have to make brakets up and modify hoses but it fits in!

Take it to a radiator shop and see what they can do with the old one for you.
