as ive just learnt its alot cheaper to do the ca thing than the a12 thing for the same power, by that i mean you can spend alot on doing stuff to the a12 and spend big $ but in the long run it would be cheaper just to fit the ca

hmm that motor is fvct, as for a ca18det swap i would say i budget of around 10k is reasonable but it can be done cheaper if you pick up bargains do everything yourself, only get the basics etc

ok heres my deal...its my first car and it took my 4 months of having my Ps and i did sumthing wrong to my motor haha yeh i'm laughing too.....but my motor kept over heating and losing power.. thought it was a head gasket.. so i stopped driving it pulled my engine apart.. turns out the gasket looks fine and the head doesn't seem to be buggerd.. but my bores are scratchd to the ####t house and the top of the pistons are rusted.. (also i used sum methanol in me fuel for a cruze hehe i could feel 5-10 hp) so is it worth fixing or to maybe fit a CA18DET if so wat do i need to do? cause i found a good motor and gear box already $950.... ive got about $1300 to spend
