You may find it just as easy to fit the new-style A12. You just need two small flat plates and to drill a couple of holes in them.

thanks... considering that i only paid $50 for the engine, i think that it would be easier to get a different one.

so if you anyone has one... drop me a line.

Hello all,

I just bought a "A12" for $50. I went to put it in and comparing the engines... the engine mounts seem to be about 1 inch further back down the block. Also the dizzy and fuel pumps seem to be in different places and the alternator is on the dizzy side.

My conclusion is that it is an A13.

Does anyone out there have any pointers for me?

i.e; is it possible to put this engine in without too much modification?

or...

does anyone in Sydney - NSW have an A12 that will drop straight in?

Look forward to hearing from you and thanks for your assistance.
