alternator craped itself internally. modded a 60amp internal regulated xf falcon into the stock spot with a mystery fan belt from mechanics.

My angle grinder has gone awol so had to use a hacksaw and file. 30sec agle griner job took 45mins

,no extra lights, 55/60w.

just a dodgy original one.

all good now except need to put my 14's on to clear the calipers.

well what a day, got to pigdogs, now have corona calipers and 200d cross drilled rotors up front. much better braking as i found out when i almost got taken out by another kanga! (left a bit too late nick i think)

Now the 2 steps back.

13's dont clear the new callipers, which is a pain cause just got 2 brand new 165 65 13 michelin xm1's!(got some nice 14's from piggy so more than happy now, just need tyres)

Then on way home car started to stutter like it did at drags under load then lost all power and lights. kicked back in while coasting. Drove about 5kms to servo on freeway to see the fuseable link from alt to battery had melted it self. Tried new piece of wire, melted instantly (can still smell the melting plastic to match my burn mark on my thumb)

Roadside care advised towing but 75km at $3.50 a km... forget it. he gave me some 20amp wire and said good luck.
Made it home but wire melted again about 10km from home. drove it on the battery.

Now foreced to install 100amp alternator(at least it has intenal regulator)

If anyone wants to buy some roh 13 x 6 chromes with 0 offset and 2 new michilins and 2 70% goodyear eagle gt3 all 165 65 13. pm me or check out my future classified later today
