if i were you, i would buy a cheap corolla to drive now, and start a CA conversion if you want good reliable power. then by the time you get off your p's, it will be ready.

Youll ruin her on dirt roads and also your wallet.

Get something you can fun with wihtout worrying about dirt.

Eg. VW baja with subaru engine or get a Landrover convert it to SR20de for something different and run straight LPG, all alloy body, dump it and just enjoy it with your choice of 20 inch wheels and enough rubber for offroad. Use the aero screens from english cars after removing the roof and rat-up the lines.

This is my concept and if someone doesnt it do it on a L300 chassis or other similar chassis then those ugly Hummers out there wont be embarrassed by something as simple as this.

Do you have to drive on dirt roads? Why is it too delicate?

By the sounds of it you're going to be selling this after you're off your p's so is it worth spending all this money when you're just going to lose it in a year when you sell it?

If I were you I would keep the ute as is until you're off your p's and save the money you're going to spend on the engine for your next car.

Otherwise spend the money and convert it to CA. You'll get 140hp a whole lot more reliably and you'll have scope for more power down the track whereas with the Hypo A15 you will have already developed it nearly as much as you can (at least for a street car.)

Just my opinion
