I'm pretty sure the bolts are the same...b/w A12 & A15

Sounds good to me.

So is the Hot Tip to put an A15 flywheel on an A12? Will that work? I think the bolts are a different size.

It will make your car less responsive. Is the old a12 using that much fuel!!

It makes sense, the lighter the mass (of the flywheel) the less momentum it can possess or maintain.

So as pager said the revs will be very responsive, but you'll feel it when the motor goes under load.

I'm backing pager here....lightening the flywheel does not cause a drop in torque!

It is usually said that reducing the weight of a flywheel by 1kg is the equivalent of lightening the whole car by 10kgs in 1st gear.

if you lighten your flywheel your going to lose torque and lets face it a series dont have a whole hell of a lot of torque to lose so i say dont lighten you flywheel un less its an l series

and yes curtis heavy flywheel=torque=burnouts

No. Flywheels store energy not provide it. When you have a light flywheel your engine will be able to accelerate quicker as it doesn't have as much weigh to accelerate. On the flip side it will slow down quicker when you hit a hill as there is less energy stored in the flywheel.

It will be easier for the wheel to break traction if you have a heavier flywheel because there is more stored energy in the flywheel when you drop the clutch.

Well yes and no, it might also depend on how much boost you have dialed in, then the weight of a flywheel don't matter much really...

That's better than me suposebly being in the -4 point club

But quiclky back onto the flywheel thing, I think haveing a lighter flywheel would help sometimes becasue my car does not like to decelerate when I take my foot off the pedal, it really get annoying when I'm trying to change gears too
