the name on the doc is A series car club and its open to all makes and models we have 28 of the 30 needed members to get the post vintage rego . if some one changes the car after inspection , or does the wronge thing thats they problem not the clubs ( is it dpi's fault if someone is driving a car with bold tyres ) , cars can be changed from factory if the club feels its in the tast of the era ,
but with only 2 datsun 1200 members that have joined , the rest of the members are mates that have a few old classic's and are sic of there current club putting the fees up every year to the point where its $ 90 a year to be a member $30 for rego $ 30 for admit fee and $ 100 a year to inspect the car adds up where this club is free

Probably a bit late, but look at the club name & read it as a sentence. It makes no sense. There is no verbal highlight on the 'A', it just reads a flat 'uh series car club' with the first word [a] pronounced as a lower case sound & this puts the emphasis on the word 'series'.
Now, ..... you know what it means, .... & we know what it means, but any member of the public wouldn't, so I suggest a minor change of name to the ..... 'A' series car club.

Since the name refers only to an unidentified 'A' series, I presume that it would be open to all BMC vehicles that run the Austin 'A' series engine [from early 50's] & all Plymouth & Dodge vehicles that run the Plymouth Polysphere V8 'A' series engine.[from 1955]
I'm sure that there are others, but that's all I can bring to mind for now.

Perhaps the "Nissan/Datsun 'A' series car club" might be another suggestion.

When it comes to an interpretation of the requirements, it will be a good idea to have several people have a look at them to get a range of opinions.
In the end, the man who signs his name to the document that says that the vehicle qualifies & is roadworthy is the one they will come looking for if the spit hits the fan & the simple fact is that somebody, somewhere, sometime, is going to crash one, .... guaranteed. It's just a by-product of high performance cars & inexperienced drivers, ...... & that's when the cops get real interested if the car is modified from stock.

If the vehicle, & its operation, doesn't meet the criteria exactly, then the insurance company can use that as the 'get out of jail' card since the registration & insurance is conditional on the vehicle remaining in both a roadworthy, & 'compliant with requirements' condition.

This would probably have something to do with the reason why the others are so "anal"
