i just emptied out the fuel bowl, i nticed it was full..
there was too much petrol going in to it, so it was struggling to burn it.
its all good now. thanks

if you filled up maybee #### fuel

my bmw wouldnt start the day after i filled up with #### fuel

and to confirm it was in paper with same model car in background along with 20 other cars after a bad batch of fuel in area

ended up seizing my pump
hate to think what the people in the paper got charged for

start with easy stuff

If you aren't too clued up on what you are looking at, take it to a decent mechanic and have it fully serviced.
If you are really keen to have a go, get a workshop manual and check the fault diagnosis guide and go from there.
Id go the full service to start with and then you can work on learning to work on your engine yourself. Get a workshop manual and give it a read and get an idea of what you are looking at.
Sounds like the carb though, and probably be best to get a good used one or even better a new reco version, and you can cross it off the list for potential drama for the next few years.

Get it serviced.

whts a coil or condensor? is the coil the electriacl thing? off the battery?

could be thats its getting to much fuel i had the same problem with an old v8 the needle wasnt seated write in the carby therefore choking it all the time so it wudnt idle or go reall gud unless it was getting reved relatively hard

might be the coil or condensor breaking down

well i was driving home from work lt night and my car stalled around corner and again when i pulled into my driveway.
its was making a not normal sound when i was driving. now it wont idle, it took bout 10 mins to warm it up a quarter. and its puffing out some smoke, black i think.. any help?? thanks
