Yeah, right cable. The 1000 4-speed has a different clutch throw-out mechanism to all other a-series and uses a shorter clutch cable. I'm assuming you purchased the T-50 from Sidedraught...is that correct? If so, you should be right. Otherwise if its a strandard T-50 straight from a celica or T18 then you'll need to combine datsun and toyota parts to convert it to cable operation. Thats easier than converting to hydraulic. I find cable much smoother and maintenance friendly anyway.

if it a cable clutch before it would be easy to adapt a 1200 cluctch set up I did one to a 1000 the cable nomaly runs through the bellhousing if your box hasnt got the hole where the cable goes through just make a bracket and bolt it to the belhousing you need to modify where it come out of the firewall is diferent a 1000 cable is different there to if it was hydraulic the cluch fork maybe pushing not pulling

Dont go hydraulic, use a 1200 clutch cable, did I send you one? if not it may still be here.

hey guys i have just put the a15 with the t50 gearbox in the thou coupe (kb10)

the tec section says it can stay cable

does any one have a pic of where the motor and gearbox meat , ( where the cable clutch should go ?

my car does not have a cable ( think it snapped ) and it has nothing where the cable should be held to the motor ?

where could i buy the parts from ?

or can i go hydraulic ?????????????
